The consulting company Odyssey implemented an ERP system at Toyota Motor LLC. As a result of the project, Odyssey specialists automated the processes of accounting and delivery of cars to dealers: from placing and adjusting orders on the customer portal to sales to dealers and end customers. More than 2,000 users are working with the new platform.
Since 2003, Odyssey's customer, Toyota Motor LLC, has been using an ERP system based on Microsoft Dynamics AX 3.0. With the passage of time and the development of technology, the company needed to switch to a new solution. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 was chosen as the platform. The client's specialists considered two transition options - technical transfer of processes or a complete re-implementation of ERP. transferred to a new platform, for example, entering and coordinating orders, adjusting plans, accepting cars in warehouses and selling to end customers.
accounting for all statuses of the car, from production to the transfer of the car to the end user. The processes of delivering cars to dealers were automated: placing orders, adjusting and coordinating production plans, registering the release of cars at factories, delivering and selling cars to dealers and end customers.
The project covers Toyota Motor LLC, as well as 162 Toyota and Lexus dealers throughout Russia with more than 2,000 users in total. Such a number of platform users places high demands on its performance and stability in 24x7 mode. Initial support of the system was carried out until the number of calls to technical support from dealers and the customer was minimized.
To prepare dealers for the work of customer IT analytics, together with Odyssey specialists, a series of webinars was held , each of which was devoted to the analysis of scenarios for a specific group of business processes: sales, planning, etc.
" The main feature of this project is the large number and wide geographical distribution of Toyota and Lexus dealerships We had high requirements for the functionality and interface of the system, dictated by the distributor's unique business processes. During the implementation of the project, we significantly expanded the basic capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, which made it possible to successfully automate work with dealers."
Denis Gusev, Vice President for Consulting, Odyssey
