Royal Canin has implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV with the help of Odyssey Consulting Group Royal Canin Russia is a leading global manufacturer of pet food. It has been a part of Mars / Masterfoods group since 2002. The distribution network is formed by 14 branches located throughout the Russian Federation. The implementation of a unified enterprise management system based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform in the regional offices of Royal Canin Russia was launched in October 2010. The specialists of Odyssey Consulting Group automated the trading house in Yaroslavlforst. A similar ERP-system was replicated in the company's branches in St. Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk in 2011. Royal Canin Russia is planning to automate business processes of its regional branch in Irkutsk in the nearest future. The choice of the information system based on Microsoft Dynamics Nav was largely dictated by Royal Canin's worldwide corporate standards. The final result of the project, implemented in the company with the assistance of Odyssey Consulting Group specialists, was the automation of the key areas of the organization trade branches business: sales and mutual settlements with customers, purchasing of goods, warehouse logistics, financial accounting and reporting. In the regional branches in Saint Petersburg, Yaroslavl, and Krasnoyarsk the new ERP was integrated with the accounting products "1C" previously used by the company, mobile commerce management system, as well as warehouse systems. Implementing a unified ERP solution Microsoft Dynamics NAV in the distribution divisions of Royal Canin Russia improved the quality of service and management of current business processes in the organization, and opened up opportunities for further company development in the regions. This is not the first experience of cooperation between Royal Canin Russia and Odyssey Consulting Group. The ERP system based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV was put into operation at the company's production site in Dmitrov and its distribution center in Krasnogorsk in 2009. By that time Royal Canin Russia felt the need to create a system which would allow to keep accounts according to the general corporate standards (every four weeks) and comply with the reporting procedure according to the Russian legislation. Odyssey Consulting Group specialists successfully solved these specific problems.
