On July 5th the conference "Performance Management with IBM Cognos. Best practices" conference took place in Moscow Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya hotel. The questions related to the use of IBM Cognos products were discussed using examples from leading Russian and foreign companies in different segments. Overall, more than 30 participants attended the event. Odyssey Consulting Group was the organizer of the event with IBM support. In the first part of the conference, Denis Gusev, Director of Development of Information and Analytical Systems Practice, and Nikolay Dorogov, Director of Information and Analytical Systems Practice, jointly presented their reports. Odyssey Consulting Group experts demonstrated capabilities of the updated line of IBM Cognos BI, IBM Cognos TM1, and IBM Cognos Express software products. Then the baton was passed to Anton Niculescu, Director of IBM Bucharest Software Lab, one of the leading specialists in the sphere of business analytics and performance management. Nikulescu focused on the methodological aspects of implementing and developing business intelligence systems. The interim results of the Odyssey Consulting Group team's work at Tricolor TV were also announced during the event. Tricolor TV IT Director Vasil Milyukov and Odyssey Consulting Group shared their experience in building budgeting and payment control system based on IBM Cognos TM1 10 and Odyssey Requisition System (Cor RSys). The project is to be completed by the end of summer. On the sidelines of the event the participants could get acquainted with a number of other Odyssey Consulting Group projects and get personal consultations from the company experts. Relevance and practical relevance of the conference deserved the highest marks from the audience.
