Tricolor ТV, Russia's largest satellite TV operator, won the annual national IT-Leader prize in the Media Campaign category. The prize was awarded for the creation of a budgeting and payment control system, implemented jointly with Odyssey Consulting Group. Tricolor TV won for the project of creating a system of budgeting and payment control, implemented in cooperation with the Odyssey Consulting Group consulting company. "IT-Leader is an annual national award in the sphere of information technologies, its participants are the leading representatives of the IT-community. This year the award was held for the twelfth time, and the winners were chosen in 21 nominations. The project of the satellite TV operator Tricolor TV was recognized as the best one in 2013 in the category "Media companies", the award was given to the Director of Information Technologies Roman Gotov. The "IT-Leader" prize is awarded to the heads of companies in various fields who have initiated and implemented projects to introduce complex and innovative IT solutions, carried out socially important projects, demonstrated a high level of IT maturity and achieved outstanding performance, thus contributing to the development of the organization and the Russian IT industry as a whole. During the cooperation between Tricolor TV and Odyssey Consulting Group, an integrated budgeting and payment control system was created. The project was implemented based on IBM Cognos TM1 and Odyssey RSys software products. With the help of these solutions the operator has ensured high quality planning and forecasting of revenues and expenditures of the annual budget in the context of each subdivision. It also supports complete payment management cycle and controls precise execution of budgets, thus maintaining financial stability of the whole organization. The companies are currently working on the creation of a full-fledged system of business analysis and operational reporting. The new solution will allow the operator to plan and control changes in the size and activity of the subscriber base, in particular the number of subscribers, primary connections and reconnections, average revenue per subscriber, etc. data.
