On April 24 the "Sustainable Growth with IBM Cognos solutions" conferencetook place in Moscow. The event that was organized by Odyssey Consulting Group and supported by IBM gathered more than 50 participants: CFOs, heads and specialists of analytical divisions, media representatives. The conference guests had an opportunity to study different approaches to realization of corporate planning, payment control and accounting tasks, to get acquainted with new IBM Cognos product capabilities as well as ask questions to the experts. The event was of practical character. Oleg Antipov, Deputy Financial Director of "SITI-XXI century" told in details about the features of financial accounting of the organization and the most effective means of automation, in particular the use of Odyssey RSys for financial documents circulation. To continue the topic, Viktoria Gorokhova, the leading project manager of the satellite operator, shared her experience in organizing the budgeting and cost control system at Tricolor TV. Roman Davydov, IT manager of Vostochnaya Technica, went over the key stages, problems, and the first results of implementing a system of budgeting and management reporting. Prospects of IBM Cognos TM1 and Cognos BI analytical solutions development was highlighted by Ekaterina Fishukova, Technical Sales Manager, IBM. Roman Mikhailov, Head of Research and Information Analytical Systems Practice at Odyssey Consulting Group analyzed typical and untypical mistakes in implementing BI solutions, and at the end of the event Valery Artemiev introduced the audience with practical methods of improving performance of business intelligence tools in practice of the Central Bank of Russia. On the sidelines of the conference, participants were able to talk to their colleagues and discuss the reports presented at the event.
