What is product labeling?
Marking of goods is the application of a special two-dimensional code in the DataMatrix format to the package. In this case, each package of goods must be equipped with a unique code, which is formed in the state system "Honest Sign". The use of special cryptographic algorithms protects the generated code from the possibility of forgery. The presence of a code provides accurate information about the manufacturer of the goods, and also allows you to track the movement of each package of goods from the time of production to its retirement from the commodity turnover.
How does product labeling work?
- Producer or importer for each unit of production requests the system "Honest Sign" a unique code that is applied to the package of goods in the form of a two-dimensional sticker in DataMatrix format.
- In the further movement of goods any change of ownership is mandatorily registered in the system "Honest Sign". At each stage of movement from production to placing it on the shelves of the store and sale to the retail consumer digital code allows the product can uniquely determine its authenticity (confirmation of the manufacturer) and the legality of being in a given point (the legitimate ownership of a unit of goods).

All companies involved in the turnover of goods included in the list of commodity groups with obligatory marking must join the national system of marking and tracing goods "Honest Sign":
