The international consulting company Odyssey Consulting Group has completed the project of implementing Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 at Northern Capital Gateway LLC, the management company of Pulkovo Airport. The new system supports settlements with customers and suppliers, management stocks, warehouses, accounting and tax accounting, accounting of fixed assets and workwear, budgeting and reporting according to IFRS.
In 2009, an international consortium "Air Gates of the Northern Capital" won the competition announced by the government of St. Petersburg for the right to reconstruct and develop Pulkovo Airport until 2039. The organization faced large-scale tasks to modernize the infrastructure airport and turning it into a key transport hub in Northern Europe.
At the same time, the airport management company decided to switch to the new Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 product and integrate disparate functional blocks into a single management system. The previous solution, based on the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 3.7 platform, could not provide the required level of performance and did not meet the company's requirements for functionality. Northern Capital Gateway LLC needed to standardize a number of business processes in accordance with the international requirements of Fraport AG. According to the results of the tender, the project was entrusted to the consultants of Odyssey Consulting Group, highly competent and extensive experience of successful work with Microsoft Dynamics NAV system.
As part of the project, Odyssey Consulting Group automated settlements with customers and suppliers, inventory management, warehouses, accounting and tax accounting , accounting of fixed assets and overalls, budgeting, IFRS; an additional payment module was also introduced. The new system fixes numerous highly specialized requirements and nuances that are specific exclusively for aviation activities, such as the maximum takeoff weight of the vessel. Odyssey Consulting Group's solution based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 provides automatic generation reporting in accordance with RAS and IFRS standards.
A number of functional modules that have proven themselves in the previous version of NAV 3.7, Odyssey Consulting Group specialists have finalized and transferred to the new system. With regard to settlements with suppliers, a new procurement budgeting module has appeared. Based on the results of this project, the principles of accounting and reporting of Northern Capital Gateway LLC have completely changed. All requests for the purchase of & nbsp; inventory items and services received from the initiating units are created, controlled for compliance with the approved & nbsp; budgets and are approved in a single information system.
Migration to the new version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 took 15 months. As a result of the project, the Northern Capital Gateway management company acquired an information system that meets all the requirements of the management and functional divisions. The total number of users of the new system amounted to 320 people.
On April 29, 2010 Northern Capital Gateway LLC began operational management of Pulkovo Airport. The main task of the company is a large-scale reconstruction and development of the airport. The project is being implemented without attracting public investment. Participants of the international consortium Northern Capital Gateway LLC are VTB Bank, FraportAG and Copelouzos Group.
Pulkovo Airport ranks third in terms of passenger traffic in Russia. In 2011, more than 9.6 million people were served at St. Petersburg Airport. The peak day of last year for the airport was July 1, when 43,667 people were served. The maximum number of flights was recorded on June 17 - 538 flights. The peak day of 2012 is June 22, when 45,072 passengers were served at Pulkovo Airport.
Pulkovo's infrastructure includes an airfield with two independent parallel runways, two air terminals , cargo terminal, refueling complex and other facilities. The air terminals provide all the necessary amenities for passengers: comfortable waiting rooms, more than 100 retail and service outlets, VIP lounges and business lounges.
